- Underdosing is a new term in ICD-10
- It allows providers to identify situations in which the patient has taken less of a medication than prescribed by a provider or manufacturer's instructions:
- Report any time a patient takes less medication than what is prescribed
- Specify any associated relapse or exacerbation of a medical condition, for which a drug is prescribed, due to the reduction in dose
