- Use specific diagnosis, such as renal and perinephric abscess
- Acute kidney failure with tubular necrosis, acute cortical necrosis, acute kidney failure with medullary necrosis
Necessary Procedures
- Interventions as appropriate-dialysis, vascular access device (totally or partially implantable), etc.
Other
- "Renal failure" and "renal insufficiency" are not interchangeable
- If condition is POA (present on admission)
Why
- Any known causes or underlying conditions-dehydration, posttraumatic, drug induced (specify medication)
- Contributing factors-fluid overload, adjusting medication dosage, etc.
