Infant/Child Abduction

  • In the event of an infant/child abduction there is the assumption that an alarm will be activated alerting the nursing associates on the unit concerned and MWHC Public Safety.

  • In turn, the entire hospital will be alerted over the hospital intercom system using the alert code, “Code Pink”.

  • Selected departments will be required to respond to specific locations to secure the hospital along with MWHC Public Safety and the Metropolitan Police Department.

  • All departments will check their work areas, common areas, restrooms, patient rooms, stairwells, elevators and corridor.
